Hello everyone! I’m Philippa East, a fiction writer originally from Scotland and now based in Lincolnshire, where I live with my husband and a cat called Mimi. I’ve been writing for about 10 years, alongside my work as a clinical psychologist and therapist. In 2015, I left my full-time NHS job to work part time and dedicate more hours to writing. The result (a few years later!) was my debut novel LITTLE WHITE LIES, a suspenseful psychological drama about a family whose missing daughter returns home, seven years after her abduction. LITTLE WHITE LIES was longlisted for the Guardian’s ‘Not The Booker’ prize and shortlisted for the CWA ‘New Blood’ award. I hope you will enjoy it too!

When I’m not writing, you can usually find me reading (of course!), going for long walks or singing on the Lincolnshire music scene in a folk duo called ‘The Miracle Cure’.
