Get Involved as an Author

There are a number of ways for authors to get involved.

If you would like to appear on a panel at the “main event” at Whitley Bay Playhouse, please direct your publishers to submit a pitch to us between 01/04 and 31/05. More info can be found here. (Link to publisher info page).

We have been lucky enough to be inundated with offers for moderators. Names will be chosen from a hat after panels have been confirmed. If you would like to be in the running, please email us with the subject heading Moderator request. The draw will be done by 01/07.

BAY TALES

We have opportunities for authors to read a segment of their work at Noir at the Bay Bar as part of our fringe festival. This event takes part on the Friday night prior to Bay Tales. In order to be eligible to read, you must hold a ticket for the playhouse event. If you would like to be considered for Noir at the Bay Bar, please email us with the subject heading NatBB request. As we expect to have more offers than we can accommodate, the final line-up will be chosen at random (names from a hat). The draw will be done on 30/9.

We are open to the idea of other fringe events. We have previously worked with Northern Crime Syndicate to host their popular Whose Crime is it Anyway and would be open to ideas for other fringe events in the week leading up to the event. Please email us if you have any suggestions.

Send your pitches to info@baytales.com between 1 April and 31 May
